Hi,
I have 0x1 character in bi name, is this valid font name?

Thanks for being patient. Yes, the font name really contains 0x01 character and MS Word preserves this character when document is re-saved. So it seems to be a valid font name. If we can help you with anything else, please feel free to ask.
