Whitespace requirement around barcodes

We are trying to recognize code 128 barcodes on a delivery ticket and are having problems when the barcode is in a box. After playing with the zone being read, we are finding the issue is when the area of the document we are trying to find a barcode in has vertical lines within about a quarter inch on the barcode itself. Is there a prescribed amount of whitespace required around the barcode to expect it read? This seems like it is specific to Code128. I don’t remember ever seeing this with Code39?

I will check about the space requirement from the developers. Could you please post a sample image for our analysis with such Code128 barcode, that could not be read?

The issues you have found earlier (filed as BARCODENET-21997) have been fixed in this update.
