A Task message added to PersonalStorage loses much information

I created a Task in Outlook 2010, and then dragged it onto the desktop to save it to disk. Then I used Aspose.Email 1.7 to add the Task message to a new PersonalStorage PST. Notice that when I opened the Task in the newly generated PST, that much of the information is missing.

Also, I noticed that before I added the attachment image, I was able to save out the Task from Outlook from the generated PST, but after I added the attachment image, even Outlook could not save out the Task to disk.

I have attached the Task message and a screenshot of the differences.

Hi

I regret to inform that currently Aspose.Email is capable of extracting Tasks from a PST file but it does not support adding Tasks to a PST file.

I would like to request you to send your code snippet where you have added Task to a new Personal Storage using Aspose.Email namespace.

Your cooperation will help us to analyse the issue and device a better solution to resolve it.

Best Regards

We use Aspose.Email to extract all messages from a PersonalStorage - this will extract all .msgs, including Tasks, Meeting notices, etc.

We then have functionality to re-generate a PST with all those extracted .msg files. So we use PersonalStorage again to create a new PST, and add each .msg.

Therefore the code is the same for either a message, task, meeting, etc., they are all .msg files loaded into a MapiMessage (just like they are when they are extracted).
