Access Header/Footer info for pptx (2007) format

Hi,

I am trying to remove all header and footer information from pptx files, but after reading through your forums, it seems that this might not be possible, because of the way PowerPoint 2007 creates headers and footers.
Is there any way to identify that a text rectangle is a header or footer, or is it just a normal rectangle?

Thanks,

Shane

Hi Shane,

Thanks for your interest in Aspose.Slides.

Yes, you are right. In fact, MS PowerPoint 2007 does not add real headers and footers, rather it adds normal rectangle shapes as headers and footers. In the current Aspose.Slides API, ShapeEx.AlternativeText property can be used to identify a shape provided the creator of the presentation adds unique "Alternative Text" to shapes. An issue with issue id 13855 has been created on our Issue Tracking System in order to figure out some other way to identify such headers and footers. This thread has been linked with this issue so that you can be updated here as soon as this issue is resolved.

Thanks and Best Regards

Hmm… look like Microsoft have made it difficult for us again. Thanks for the quick response, and good luck with the work around!
