Hello all

I keep getting the licence error attached.

We have a VB.NET 2003 application that we recently installed on a new machine.

We started to get the error attached since and im not sure what the problem is.

The machine contains .Net platforms 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 ....

Please advice!

Hi,

Do you set the license file in VS.NET 2005 or VS.NET 2008 project(s)? And does it work fine in VS.NET 2002/2003 (.NET 1.x) in other machine? Could you give us complete details about your environments etc.

Hello Amjad

The application is complied in VS.NET 2003, hence the licence is set there.

The envoriments are very similar MS XP PRO SP3 .NET platforms (1,2,3).

The only difference is that the offending machine is a newer machine.

Also, .NET 1.0 was installed after 2.0 and 3.0.

What causes this problem, especially since the licence file is not corrupt?

Please let me know if there are other details you require.

Hi Tony,

Could you give us details which type of lic your are using e.g .., Aspose.Cells.lic file or Aspose.Excel.lic file. If you are using the older license file, you need to upgrade it and update your codes to new (Aspose.Cells 4.6.0) component. For your info, Aspose.Excel has been renamed to become Aspose.Cells now which more enhanced and feature rich component. And, there is not much labour involved upgrading from older Aspose.Excel to new Aspose.Cells, please check the doc: http://www.aspose.com/documentation/file-format-components/aspose.cells-for-.net-and-java/upgrade-to-modern-aspose-cells-component.html

The licence in use is Aspose.Report.lic.

.SetLicense(strPath & "\Aspose.Report.lic")

I actually fixed the problem.

for future reference the .NET platforms must be installed in incremental order.

This fixed the problem for me..
