Apose.Words for Java'features vs Aspose.Words for .NET's features

Hello,

Is there a document (e.g. a matrix), which “side by side” compares the implemented features of Aspose.Words for Java vs. the features of Aspose.Words for .NET ?

If such a document does not exist, is it possible to list Aspose.Words for .NET’s features that are not yet implemented in Aspose.Words for Java ?

Thanks in advance for your support,

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your inquiry.

Please note that the latest version of Aspose.Words for Java is completely auto-ported from .NET, i.e. we do not write code for Aspose.Words for Java; it is generated out automatically from C# code of Aspose.Words for .NET. So there should not be any significant difference in functionalities between Java and .NET versions because the code is mostly the same.

May be the following article is what you’re looking for:

If we can help you with anything else, please feel free to ask.

Best Regards,

Hi there,

Awais is indeed correct, 99% of the features in Aspose.Words for .NET are available in Aspose.Words for Java through the use of autoporting.

There are a few limitations when it comes to Aspose.Words for Java when compared to the .NET platform. You can find a table of these here: http://docs.aspose.com/display/wordsjava/Known+Issues+in+Aspose.Words+for+Java

Thanks,

Hi Awais, Hi Aske012,

Thanks a lot for your two answers that helped complete my study.

Best regards,

The issues you have found earlier (filed as WORDSNET-5557) have been fixed in this .NET update and this Java update.
