Arabic characters not printed in Linux

Good evening,

I’m working with Aspose.Words for Java to fill in and print a bilingual English/Arabic Word document to PDF. However, the result is missing all the Arabic characters (see attachments for the original .doc file and the printed PDF).

If I print the same document to PDF with Open Office it works fine. Is there any way I can gather more information about why the issue happens and how to fix it?

My setup is:
Linux localhost.localdomain 2.6.18-164.el5 #1 SMP Tue Aug 18 15:51:48 EDT 2009 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Oracle Weblogic Server 10.3.2.0
JDK 1.4
Aspose Words 14.2.0 for JDK 1.4

Hi Michel,

Thanks for your
inquiry. Please note that Aspose.Words requires TrueType fonts when
rendering documents to fixed-page formats (PDF, XPS or SWF). Make sure
you have all the Fonts installed on your machine you’re using to convert
Word document to PDF format. I would suggest you please read the
following articles:

http://www.aspose.com/docs/display/wordsjava/How+to++Specify+True+Type+Fonts+Location
http://www.aspose.com/docs/display/wordsjava/How+Aspose.Words+Uses+True+Type+Fonts

I would suggest you please upgrade to the latest version (v14.3.0) from here
and let us know how it goes on your side. Hope this helps you.
