Are Macro enabled file formats supported by aspose?

Hello,


I checked the documentation of Aspose.Diagrams. The supported file types mentioned in the documentation are : VSDX, VSTX, VSSX, VTX, VDX, VSX, VSD, VST, VSS and VDW.

VSDM, VSTM and VSSM file types are not mentioned in the documentation of file types supported, but when I tried to convert vsdm, vssm and vstm files to PNG or PDF, it’s working fine.

So, can you please provide information regarding whether Macro-Enabled Visio Documents (vsdm, vstm, and vssm) are supported by Aspose or not?

Thank you for contacting support. Please note, the Macro-Enabled Visio documents (vsdm, vstm and vssm) are not supported by Aspose officially. We just created the sample Macro-Enabled documents and tried to import using Aspose.Diagram API but it shows errors of unknown format. We’ve logged feature requests of importing Macro-Enabled documents:

DIAGRAMJAVA-50327: Add support to import the macro enabled Drawing (.VSDM)
DIAGRAMJAVA-50328: Add support to import the macro enabled template (.VSTM)
DIAGRAMJAVA-50329: Add support to import the macro enabled stencil (.VSSM)

Thank you for being patient. We have a good news for you that the ticket ids DIAGRAMJAVA-50327, DIAGRAMJAVA-50328 and DIAGRAMJAVA-50329 have now been resolved. If there is no issue in the QA phase, then their fixes will be incorporated in the next version 6.6.0 of Aspose.Diagram for Java API. We'll inform you via this forum thread as soon as the new release is published.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as DIAGRAMJAVA-50327;DIAGRAMJAVA-50328;DIAGRAMJAVA-50329) have been fixed in Aspose.Diagram for Java 6.6.0.
