Are there any filesize limitations for Aspose.Word, Aspose.Pdf and Aspose.Pdf.Kit for Java. During Evaluation, we have seen some limitation in converting a word (doc, docx) file (between 2.5MB and 3MB) to pdf. The conversion succeeded, but showed only one page in pdf with a evaluation message that the file has been truncated.
I just wanted to make sure this will go away with a license…let me know.
thanks,
Umesh
Hi Umesh,
I am representative of Aspose.Words team.
Thanks for your inquiry. Please note that in evaluation mode there are some limitations applied. E.g Aspose.Words injects an evaluation watermark at the top of the document. The document’s content are truncated after a certain number of paragraphs during import or export.
To avoid this you can request a free 30-day trial license which removes these evaluation restrictions. You can request this from here:
http://www.aspose.com/corporate/purchase/temporary-license.aspx
The license can be loaded from a file, stream or an embedded resource. Aspose.Words will try to find the license in the following locations:
- Explicit path.
- The folder that contains the Aspose.Words.dll.
- The folder that contains the assembly that called Aspose.Words.dll.
- The folder that contains the entry assembly (your .exe).
- An embedded resource in the assembly that is called Aspose.Words.dll.
Please read following documentation link for your kind reference.
http://www.aspose.com/docs/display/wordsnet/Applying+a+License
You can also set the license file by stream object. Please check details from following documentation links.
Please feel free to ask if you have any question about Aspose.Words, we will be happy to help you.
Hi Umesh,
Thanks for the responses. We have been evaluating the product for couple of months now and have purchased a Total license. The product has been handling most of our documents conversion/merging requirements successfully. We just wanted to know if there any known limitations around file sizes or number of pages in all the formats you support, mainly doc/docx, pdf and rtf.
Let us know,
Thanks,
Umesh Veeraiah
