Aspose jars upgrade with latest stable version

We are using following aspose jars in our application:-

First 3 jars are using on JDK 5 and other 3 jars are using JDK 6.

Now we want to upgrade jars to latest stable version of jars.

Before upgrading with latest version of jars, we need following queries from you :-

  1. What are compatibility latest stable versions of jars with JDK 6 / 7, please tell to us the name of jars.

  2. Whar are the features & benefit in latest stable version of jars compare to old jars. E.g. Document format, performance level. etc.

  3. Is there any code level changes required in application if we have upgraded with latest jars.

Please let us know if you have any queries.

Thanks in Advance.

We always recommend using the latest versions as these versions provide the maximum number of features and fixes. You will need latest versions of Aspose.Words and Aspose.Pdf for Java to migrate to latest versions. Aspose.Pdf.Kit has been merged with Aspose.Pdf so you will find those features in Aspose.Pdf now. Following are the replies to your specific queries.

  1. Latest versions fully support JDK 6 and later versions so you can confidently upgrade to latest versions.

  2. As stated above, latest versions include the most recent features and fixes so it is always recommended to use the latest versions. You are using very old versions of the APIs so there will be a big advantage in terms of feature and fixes if you upgrade to the latest versions. Please check Aspose.Words features and Aspose.Pdf features for more details.

  3. Yes, there will be several changes as you are using very old versions. Please check migration from older versions of Aspose.Words and migration from older versions of Aspose.Pdf for more details.

Best Regards,
