@mayurih,
Thank you for contacting free support.
It appears that you are using Aspose.Slides for .NET 20.6, which is a very old version of the library.
Please note that older versions of Aspose.Slides do not work with newly issued licenses. Therefore, we recommend upgrading to the latest version of Aspose.Slides for .NET and testing the issue again.
Also, please make sure that the license is applied before creating or processing any Presentation objects, for example:
Aspose.Slides.License license = new Aspose.Slides.License();
license.SetLicense("Aspose.Slides.NET.lic");
If the evaluation message still appears after upgrading, please check the following:
- Make sure the application is actually loading the new license file and not an old one.
- Make sure
SetLicense()completes without an exception. - Apply the license at application startup, before using any Aspose.Slides API.
- Check that there are no multiple versions of
Aspose.Slides.dllreferenced or deployed with the application.
i will try to upgrade the package, can you tell me the exact version i need for it to work?
the license we have is for total , aspose.total.lic
@mayurih,
Yes, Aspose.Total.lic can be used with Aspose.Slides, so you do not need a separate Aspose.Slides license.
Please upgrade Aspose.Slides for .NET to the latest version, 26.9.0, and test again. The version shown in your screenshot, 20.6, is more than six years old and may not work with a newly issued license.
@mayurih,
These compilation errors are related to API changes between the old Aspose.Slides for .NET 20.6 version and the latest version.
In the current API, table cell formatting properties such as FillFormat, BorderTop, BorderBottom, BorderLeft, and BorderRight are accessed through the cell’s CellFormat property.
For example, code such as:
cell.FillFormat
cell.BorderTop
cell.BorderBottom
should be updated to:
cell.CellFormat.FillFormat
cell.CellFormat.BorderTop
cell.CellFormat.BorderBottom
For borders, for example:
cell.CellFormat.BorderTop.FillFormat
cell.CellFormat.BorderBottom.FillFormat
cell.CellFormat.BorderLeft.FillFormat
cell.CellFormat.BorderRight.FillFormat
You can find examples of working with table cells and their formatting in our documentation:
Manage Table Cells – Aspose.Slides for .NET Documentation
Please also refer to the API Reference for the relevant interfaces:
does it have any impact on formatting?
@mayurih,
No, changing the code to use CellFormat should not affect the intended formatting. It is mainly an API change in how the formatting properties are accessed.
For example:
cell.BorderTop
becomes:
cell.CellFormat.BorderTop
As long as the same formatting properties and values are applied, the result should remain the same.
However, since you are upgrading from a very old Aspose.Slides version, there may be some rendering differences due to fixes and improvements introduced over the years. We recommend comparing the generated presentation after the upgrade to make sure the output matches your expectations.
