Aspose Licnese Expire

We have an older version of Aspose Cells, version 4.6 which we use with our VB .NET application.

Recently we have seen an increase where the Aspose Cells License expires and we cannot generate our files. Once re-copy/overwrite the Aspose Cells License file everything works fine again.

2 Questions?

1) Is there a possible solution to fix the existing license from expiring?
2) If we were to upgrade our Aspose Cells License to the latest version, would the expiration issue come up again with the new license?

Hi,

Thanks for your posting and considering Aspose.Cells.

This is a strange issue you are encountering. Your old license should keep working fine with your old version. Could you provide us a simple sample web page application replicating this issue. It will help us investigate the issue and we will update you asap.

If you want to use the latest version, then you will have to renew your subscription and it will entitle you for 1 year free upgrades starting from the date of purchase. No expiration issue should not occur with both older and latest license.

However, if you are trying to use the later version with your older license, then expiration issue should occur and throw an error saying, your license subscription does not allow you to use this version.

Cannot provide a sample application page since it is used within our Trading application and is data sensitive.

The error logging that we do have on the page shows the following error message when the license does expire.

11100 Excel File Reader encountered licence error

Otherwise we do not have any other log files to work against.

The license expiry issue is also very sporadic and can occur at any time. For example; we had the issue earlier today. The last time it occurred was about 3 weeks ago, twice during that week.

Hi,

Thanks for your legitimate reasoning and using Aspose.Cells.

We definitely need your favor if you could provide us some sample application replicating the issue. However, we will keep investigating this matter and provide you a feedback. Meanwhile, it will be helpful if you could provide us the complete stack trace of the exception you are getting. It might shed some light on this issue and help us to resolve it. Thanks for you cooperation in this regard. Have a good day.
