Aspose.PDF License

Hi Aspose,

We have an Aspose.Total license and are using:
- Aspose.Words (10.3.0)
- Aspose.Cells (6.0.1)
- Aspose.Slides (5.4.0)
- Aspose.Pdf (6.1.0)

All licenses are set in an identical manner one after another using the SetLicense(“Aspose.Total.lic”) method when the first page is loaded by the user. This page then opens a second page in a new browser window that uses all four of the above frameworks.

Periodically, we get an error message on the second page when using Aspose.Pdf stating that it is the Evaluation version. None of the other three frameworks throw this error.

A temporary fix is to force recompilation of the web application. No code is changed, and the same steps that previously led to the error now work OK.

The environment is Windows 2003 Server, IIS 6.0, .NET 2.0.

Any thoughts on how this is possible?

Best Regards,

Miki

Hi Miki,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Thank you for considering Aspose.

Well, it is a strange issue. We will appreciate it if you can create a simple application and share with us to regenerate the issue at our end. It will help us figure out the issue soon and reply you accordingly.

Thank You & Best Regards,

Hi Nausherwan,

Thanks for this prompt response.

It would be difficult to recreate this issue effectively in a simplified application; we don’t know what triggers it on production and it doesn’t occur at all in our other similar
environments such as testing and development.

Do you have any thoughts on which aspects of the application or environment we could focus on for diagnosing this?

Thanks,

Miki

Hello Miki,

Thanks for using our products. As requested by Nausherwan, it will be pretty much difficult for us to rectify this issue until or unless we are able to replicate it at our end. However, as far as I can see you are using an older version of Aspose.Pdf for .NET so I would suggest you to please try upgrading to the latest release version of Aspose.Pdf for .NET 6.4.2 and see if it can resolve your problem. In fact in recent release versions, we have resolved some issue related to licensing. In case the problem still persists, please feel free to contact. We apologize for your inconvenience.
