Aspose.PDF SvgSaveOptions Words versus Characters

When I export to SVG using

Dim SaveOptions = New Aspose.Pdf.SvgSaveOptions()
SaveOptions.CompressOutputToZipArchive = False
apdfDocument.Save(cmdline.clp_serverExtactPath & “” & “page_”, SaveOptions)

The resultant SVG is character based rather than ‘word’ based. This makes searching the SVG impossible.

For Example the word ‘Page’ is represented as

<text transform="matrix(1.00134 0 0 1 489.839 56.51898)" x="0" y="0" style="fill:#C30F0E;font-family:'JRRQIQ+TimesNewRoman';" font-size="8.04"> P </text> <text transform="matrix(1.00134 0 0 1 494.283 56.51898)" x="0" y="0" style="fill:#C30F0E;font-family:'JRRQIQ+TimesNewRoman';" font-size="8.04"> a </text> <text transform="matrix(1.00134 0 0 1 497.8817 56.51898)" x="0" y="0" style="fill:#C30F0E;font-family:'JRRQIQ+TimesNewRoman';" font-size="8.04"> g </text> <text transform="matrix(1.00134 0 0 1 501.8427 56.51898)" x="0" y="0" style="fill:#C30F0E;font-family:'JRRQIQ+TimesNewRoman';" font-size="8.04"> e </text>

Is there any option to export as ‘words’ for searching purposes when the SVG is shown in the browser.

This is important to me because I am representing many PDF’s as SVG in a browser.

I look forward to hearing from you.

I have attached this file as I am also getting ‘Array dimensions exceeded supported range’

This might be because I am using version 19…

We were also able to notice the Exception in our environment using Aspose.PDF for .NET 20.8 and logged an issue as PDFNET-48697 in our issue management system to rectify it. We will let you know as soon as the issue is resolved.

Would you please also share a sample PDF with which we can replicate the “Character Based SVG” export issue. We will log a ticket against it as well and share the ID with you.

Thank you for your message. Please find the files attached

The fonts also appear to be duplicated substantially increasing the size of the SVGs.
