Aspose.Word: including Chapter Number in Table of Contents and page numbers

Hi - I have a document with a number of defined level 1 and level 2 headings. It also has a table of contents using the following code:

"\\h \\z \\t \"CaseLines H1;1;CaseLines H2;2\""

The headings are spread accross a number of sections, each of which has a letter (A, B, C etc.). Page numbering restarts at 1 for each section

In the table of contents I would like to show the page number with the chapter number like this:

A: Heading Description ................. A1
001: Level 2 Heading Description ... A4
B: Another Heading Decsription ......... B1

... and so on ...

I would also like to show the page number in the same format in the footer of each page.

I cannot see how to set this up - do you have any sample code?

Regards, Paul.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your inquiry.

Could you please attach your template here for testing as well and we will provide some further feedback.

Thanks,

Hi - not sure what you mean by template. I think I need to see how to:

1. Apply a chapter number to a section

2. Include the chapter number in the page number format for the section

Then I believe the TOC will pick up the "A1" numbering scheme automatically.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for this additional information.

By template I mean your Word document that you are using. Also could you post the code you are using here.

Thanks,
