Aspose.Words 15.12.0.0 Incorrect Fonts on output PDF

I have an application that has started to display strange behavior after upgrading from 14.5.0.0

to 15.12.0.0.

We have a regression test that sends an original.rtf file and then replaces some strings in the file
and outputs a pdf.

This test is run twice with the same original file but the first time the fonts in the PDF are incorrect and all the \ characters show up as unprintable characters. The second test results are as expected.

Does the Aspose.Words dll use the Aspose.Pdf dll to create the pdf output?

Hi Dan,

Thanks for your inquiry. No, Aspose.Words does not use Aspose.Pdf. Please upgrade to the latest version of Aspose.Words 16.1.0 and make sure that the following fonts are installed on your machine:

  • ‘Arial’
  • ‘Arial Black’
  • ‘Wingdings’
  • ‘Calibri’

I have also converted your RTF to PDF over Windows 10 machine and attached it here for your reference.

Best regards,
