I am using the latest version of Aspose.Words for .Net.
I have a word document template that contains 3 bookmarks. I retrieve the document as a memory stream and replace the 3 bookmarks with data and print to the default printer.
However, when I print the document, it rotates the document ( by 270 degrees I think ).
If I save the document and open it using MS Word and then print, it prints fine.
The empty Word document size is 2.5cm by 0.7cm.
Your component is being used in our WPF application.
Can you help with this please as it is show stopper for a key part of our functionality.
This document is sent to a specialist printer for printing on plastic cassettes.
If I print this document from Word, it prints fine. If I print using the Aspose component, only the barcode is printed to the right of the document. ie it is as if it turns the document around.
Thank you for additional information. I tied to print your document to XPS, and it looks fine. Also I will try to print it on paper and let you know how it goes. By the way which version of Aspose.Words do you use?
I am sure I saw somewhere in the Aspose interface settings for rotating landscape documents by 270 degrees but it was a read only property.
I have tried all sorts of work arounds, mainly with using defined Print Document Print Settings and changing the margins and other properties of the Aspose properties but still can’t get it to work.
I save the word document that is created after the bookmark’s have been populated and then open the Word document using Word 2007, it prints fine to the selected printer with the correct orientation.
I did a search through your forums and there was a problem reported with rotating documents several years but at that time it had not been fixed.
I really need to get this fixed as my plan B is to use Word automation to get round the problem ( which works fine ) but which will incur an MS Word license and we won’t be using your component that we have invested in.
Thank you for additional information. I managed to reproduce the problem on my side. Your request has been linked to the appropriate issue. This issue will be fixed in the next hotfix. You will be notified.
Thanks for your inquiry. Unfortunately, the issue is still unresolved. Please expect a reply before next hotfix (within 4-5 weeks). We might just fix the problem or provide you more information.
Best regards,
Thanks for your request. Unfortunately, it is not our common practice to provide customers with intermediate builds. Aspose.Words releases are published every 4-5 weeks. So please wait for the next release. My apologizes for inconvenience.
Best regards.
