I would like to know is it possible that to use ExecuteWithRegions, to merge with multiple entries without paragraphing on the following paragraph:
Wefsdf «TableStart:Tenant»«tenant_name» («tenant_chi_name») (holder of H.K.I.D. Card No. «tenant_hkid») whose correspondence address is situate at «address» (“the Guarantor”) «connector».«TableEnd:Tenant» ddsdfasd sdkfjasd sdfsdfdsf
Moreover, one more question is that can the number of the brackets on the right side can follow the height of the paragraph with the merge field after merged:
R E C E I V E D
on the day and year first above written the sum )
of «agreement» being the deposit hereinbefore …
expressed to be paid by the Tenant to the …
Landlord. )
Anyone can answer my questions?
Hello
Thanks for your inquiry. There is no direct way to achieve what you need. However, I think information provided in the following thread could be useful for you: https://forum.aspose.com/t/69800
Also, in one of future versions of Aspose.Words we will add more Mail Merge syntax and you will be able to achieve what you need. Your request has been linked to the appropriate issue. You will be notified as soon as it is resolved.
Best regards,
Thanks a lot.
How about the brackets problem?
Hi there,
At the moment there is no way to get the text where a line ends. As a work around at the moment you might consider implementing your own new line at a certain point in each of part of the text. Then you could easily add a new bracket to the end and start of each line. If you attach your template here we can help assist you further.
Thanks,
I would like to merge the amount field, then we can add a number of brackets following the height of the amount field merged. Thanks.
Hi there,
Thank you for attaching your template. I’m afraid there appears to be no simple way to achieve what your looking for with the brackets using the current public API. We will keep you informed when this feature is included.
Thanks,
Hi,
Thanks for being patient.
Regarding WORDSNET-3197, it is to update you that we have closed this issue. We have introduced a new LINQ Reporting Engine which is a part of the Aspose.Words API that enables you to build reports using an extended set of reporting features. The engine enables you to reference business objects of your application in report templates directly, which agrees well with Domain-Driven Design widely used in modern software development. Moreover, the engine uses a subset of C# language in its template syntax. These features enable you as a developer to compose report templates in a familiar and intuitive way.
For example, using this new reporting engine you can repeat part of a Paragraph as follows:
DocumentBuilder builder = new DocumentBuilder();
builder.Write("The items are: <<foreach [item in items]>><<[item]>>, <</foreach>>and others.");
Document doc = builder.Document;
ReportingEngine engine = new ReportingEngine();
engine.BuildReport(doc, new string[] { "Item1", "Item2", "Item3"}, "items");
doc.Save("out.docx");

I hope, this helps.
Best regards,
The issues you have found earlier (filed as WORDSNET-3197) have been fixed in this .NET update and this Java update.
