Aspose.Words - .NET vs. SharePoint products

Hello. Our primary need is generating Word documents automatically from information stored in a SharePoint Forms Library item. The information is captured using InfoPath and is then stored as XML in the SharePoint Forms library. We have a Word template and would like to programatically merge the data from a library item into the template to produce a Word document.

After looking at the documentation for the Aspose.Words .NET and SharePoint products, I believe the .NET product is what we need. It looks to have the APIs to build Word documents. The SharePoint product has only a few APIs for conversion and reporting.

Based on our described need, can you confirm that the .NET product is best? The SharePoint product is described as containing a builtin version of the .NET product, but it doesn’t appear to offer access to the same APIs.

Thank you.
