Both hyperlinks in the Word document saved using Aspose .NET Word become linked, causing changes to one hyperlink to automatically update the other when edited in Trados Studio

Please look at WORDSNET-27670

Original-test.docx (13.2 KB)

After-save-Aspose-test.docx (10.6 KB)

  1. In the attached file, Original-test.docx, you’ll notice it contains two links pointing to the same URL: https://www.google.com.
  2. After saving the file using Aspose.Word, the result is saved in Original-test-after-saved-aspose.docx.
  3. Upon comparing the document.xml.rels files of both the original and saved documents, I found the following:
  • In the original file, there are two separate relationship IDs: rId4 and rId5.
  • In the saved file, only rId4 remains.
  1. If you open the saved file in applications like Studio Trados or MemoQ:
  • Translate or modify even one of the links in the target document.
  • Export the translated target file.
  1. The issue is that both links in the exported target file will be updated to reflect the same change, even though only one link was modified.
