Can't install on SQL 2008 64 bit

The install.log states can't find instance. I have looked at the machine and everything appears ok. Not a permission issue. I am running with domain admin permissions and dbo. Have tried the msi install on multiple computers running Windows 2008 64 bit with SQL 2008 64 bit std with Reporting Services. Same error message on both sets of computers. What am I missing? I have not done an install just using the dll's. Which I assume has to be dumped from the MSI.

Hi,

We are checking your issue. In the mean time, please try manual installation.

Please refer to the following steps.

1. Find rsreportserver.config and rssrvpolicy.config at ${SQL Server 2008 Reporting Service}\Reporting Services\ReportServer\ folder.

2. Add following information at rssrvpolicy.config file for security .

3. Add following information at rsreportserver.config for Rendering Extensions.















<Extension Name=“ACTXT” Type=“Aspose.Cells.ReportingServices.TabDelimitedRenderer,Aspose.Cells.ReportingServices” /



4. Copy ${Aspose.Cells for Reporting Service installation folder }\Bin\SSRS2008\Aspose.Cells.ReportingServices.dll file into ${SQL Server 2008 Reporting Service}\Reporting Services\ReportServer\bin\ folder.

5. Please check the path value of “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Aspose\Aspose.Cells.ReportingServices" key.

If the value is null, please copy ${Aspose.Cells for Reporting Service installation folder }\ Aspose.Cells.ReportingServices.xml file into ${SQL Server 2008 Reporting Service}\Reporting Services\ReportServer\bin\ folder. Or set the value to ${Aspose.Cells for Reporting Service installation folder }.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as 17827) have been fixed in this update.
