Can't open 2003 word doc

Hi,

I am getting this error when try to open a 2003 word doc:

$exception {“The document appears to be corrupted and cannot be loaded.”} System.Exception {Aspose.Words.FileCorruptedException}

I can open it with MS Word 2003. It contains marco with it, but I think aspose.word can open file with marco?

My Aspose.Words version is 6.0.1.0

Document doc = new Document(docFile);

I attached the doc here for you to looktestWord.doc)

Also, Attached another word with marco, which aspose open it successfully…so why aspose can’t open the first one?

Thanks for your inquiry. I can successfully open both of your documents. I use the latest version of Aspose.Words (6.5.0) for testing. You can download it from here:

Hi,

Can you give me more info why version 6.0.1.0 can’t open it ? So we may be able to fix our doc instead of updating to the new version - which requires more efforts for us to test and deploy. Thanks

Thanks for your request. Unfortunately, it is extremely difficult to tell you what caused this problem since 6.0.1 was release about half of year ago. During this time we released 5 new versions which include a lot of fixes. So it is difficult to find which of these fixes resolved your problem. So my advice is upgrading.
