Check for real PDF File

I have got a file named “File.pdf” and on a procedure I have to check if the file is a REAL PDF FILE and not for example an Image File which changed the extension from “.jpg” in ".pdf"


It’s something like validating PDF/A or PDF/B but for every type of PDF FILE.

Hi Michael,

I’m sorry to inform you that this feature is currently not supported in Aspose.Pdf.Kit for Java. The .NET version of the component provides support for this feature. However, I have logged a new feature request as PDFKITJAVA-31386 in our issue tracking system to support this feature in our future versions of Aspose.Pdf.Kit for Java. You’ll be updated via this forum thread once it is supported.

There is an other question,


now ASPOSE didn’t port the JAVA version with a generator from .NET, so the JAVA and .NET versions are always the same?!?
Or is it only for the ASPOSE WORDS library?

I’m afraid, no other Aspose tool provides this feature at the moment.

Currently, the Aspose.Pdf.Kit for Java is not ported from the .NET version. However, we’ll do that from early 2012.
