Check whether MS excel is installed

Hi,

We are evaluating Aspose.Cells for Java (aspose-cells-8.7.2). Is there a way to check whether MS excel is installed in the PC using appose rather than going through the registry using java. Thank you.

Cheers,

Hi,

I am afraid, your query is out of context. Aspose.Cells for Java is a class library used to create, manipulate, render, convert or print MS Excel spreadsheets (e.g XLS, XLSX, XLSM, CSV, Tab, delimited, SpreadsheetML (.xml), etc.) or other file formats, e.g SVG, ODS, PDF, etc. It supports almost all the features which MS Excel (97-2010, 2013) supports. In short, Aspose.Cells works on MS Excel file formats and does not work, depend or have any links to MS Excel. The Excel files generated by the component can be opened by MS Excel or any Excel viewer application.

I think you should browse online to find relevant document/thread for your reference. For example, see the thread here:

Thank you.
