Cloning PPTX produces garbled output

Hi,
I used the following JAVA code to clone first slide of PPTX slide - KAT.pptx.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

PresentationEx srcPptEx = new PresentationEx(“C:\KAT.pptx”)
PresentationEx newPresentationEx = new PresentationEx();

MasterSlideEx defaultMasterX = newPresentationEx.getMasters().get(0);
SlideEx emptySlideEx = newPresentationEx.getSlides().get(0);

SlideEx srcSlideEx = srcPptEx.getSlides().get(0);
MasterSlideEx masterSlideX = srcSlideEx.getLayoutSlide().getMasterSlide();
int masterIndex = newPresentationEx.getMasters().addClone(masterSlideX);

SlidesEx slds=newPresentationEx.getSlides();
slds.insertClone(0, srcSlideEx, newPresentationEx.getMasters().get(masterIndex));

//Remove blank presentation slide
newPresentationEx.getSlides().remove(emptySlideEx);
//Remove unused default master slide
newPresentationEx.getMasters().remove(defaultMasterX);

newPresentationEx.write(new FileOutputStream(new File(“c:\KAT_slide_2.pptx”)));
----------------------------------------------------------
Generated KAT_slide_2.pptx from KAT.pptx

Works fine so far.

Now when I use the same code and use KAT_slide_2.pptx as the source file to generate KAT_new.pptx then the new presentation is garbled with extra whitespaces. The Slide Master seems to have many unwanted whitespaces causing this issue.

Can you please let me know what could be going wrong. Thanks in advance for your assistance.
Thanks & Regards,
Vimal
