Hi Dan,
Our development team has investigated the issue. Actually, the chart added in presentation is OleObjectFrame; So as any embedded object it consists of embedded data and substitute image. Even if chart is using slide’s color scheme, Aspose.Slides can’t update substitute image of OleObjectFrame to reflect changes. This is not possible through Aspose.Slides presently and changing of chart color is not possible without remaking of chart processing. You may also have observed that when adding Ole frames using Aspose.Slides for .NET, you need to enable the Ole frame in PowerPoint by double clicking it.
We are sorry for your inconvenience,
Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. So are there any alternatives I might use. It means our whole web application is redundent if the charts don’t follow the colour scheme.
Thanks
Dan
Hi Dan,
I regret to share that under present situation Aspose.Slides may not offer any help in this regard. There is one option that you may try on your end is to involve Aspose.Cells for .NET on your end. You access the Ole frame byte data using Aspose.Slides. Convert that to stream and load stream using WorkBook (Excel). Then using Aspose.Cells for .NET, modify the chart colors. But, getting byte data from Ole frame using Aspose.Slides for .NET may not work for the time being as we are currently isolating Aspose.Slides for .NET internal dependency upon Aspose.Cells for .NET. The byte data from Ole frame returns null for the time being and an issue with ID SLIDESNET-33197 has already been created in our issue tracking system to resolve this.
