I am new to the com tools, and like what I see, but I am a bit surprised that a derivative class like PresentationEx does not share an Interface with Presentation class. The same with Slide and SlideEx and so on. Are there any plans to provide a common Interface for these objects?

Unfortunately, currently there is no such interface between PresentationEx and Presentation is available. However, the feature will be expectedly available in after summer release.

I regret to share that the common interface for both PPT and PPTX presentations is still unavailable in Aspose.Slides for Java. However, the feature is available in Aspose.Slides for .NET where by you can access the PPT presentations using PresentationEx class. An issue with ID 17175 has already been created in our issue tracking system to provide the feature support in Aspose.Slides for Java as well.
