Compatibility Inquiry for Aspose.Slides for Java with Rocky Linux 8

To whom it may concern,

I am reaching out to inquire about the compatibility of Aspose Slides, specifically version 21.4-jdk, with Rocky Linux 8. Our current system utilizes CentOS 7, which will reach its end-of-life in June 2024. We are planning to transition to Rocky Linux 8 and would like to ensure that there will be no compatibility issues with the Aspose Slides library.

Could you please confirm whether there have been any reported compatibility problems with this library on Rocky Linux 8, or provide any specific considerations we should be aware of during the transition?

Thank you for your assistance.

@borish3198,

No, we haven’t had any compatibility questions with Rocky Linux 8 before. Usually, if JDK can be run and fontconfig (with fonts) is installed, that’s sufficient to run Aspose.Slides for Java.

The only thing worth mentioning is fonts. Since a transition is planned, it’s necessary to transfer the fonts used in CentOS 7 to Rocky Linux 8.
