Hello Team,
We use Aspose 10.x for RTF to PDF conversion and recently we have migrated the microsoft word version from 2007 to 2013. Since then, we are facing few issues in PDF generation so wanted to confirm on the version compatibility of word 2013 to Aspose 10.x version.
Can you please let me know if it is compatible to 2013?
Thank you,
Sachin
Hi Sachin,
Thanks for your inquiry. Yes, Aspose.Words does support MS Word 2013 documents.
Aspose.Words supports all major OOXML versions for example OOXML ECMA-376 and OOXML ISO/IEC DIS 29500. OOXML WordprocessingML documents most often come as DOCX files, which are ZIP packages and Aspose.Words does support DOCX format. I suggest you please read the following article on How-to: Migrate to Aspose.Words 10.5 or Higher:
Could you please attach your input RTF document here for testing? I will investigate the issue on my side and provide you more information.
Hello Tahir,
Thanks for your quick response as usual.!!
I also wanted to confirm with you about the version compatibility of Aspose 10.x with Windows server 2008 (64 bit). Can you please let me know whether this version is compatible with windows 2008 server?
Just to give you a background on it, we have recently migrated from windows 2003 to windows 2008 server where we used to run our batch job streams. But, after migration we are facing few issues with document conversion and wanted to check with you on if we have any know issue with the version compatibility for the 2008 server.
Appreciate your help so far.
Thank you,
Sachin Kendre

Hello Tahir,
Thanks for the confirmation… !!
One more Question (I hope this will be the last), We are using Acrobat PDF writer version 4.0 for RTF to PDF conversion and we have Acrobat reader 9.0 installed on the 2008 application server. Does these versions compatible with Aspose word 10.x ?
Thank you so much for your wonderful help.
Thank you,
Sachin Kendre
Hi Sachin,
Thanks for your inquiry. Please note that Aspose.Words mimics the same behavior as MS Word does. If you convert your document to Pdf by using MS Word, you will get the same output.
Aspose.Words does not require Acrobat reader/writer for document conversion. Any document loaded into Aspose.Words can be converted to PDF that conforms to the PDF 1.5 or PDF/A-1b specification. Hope this answers your query. Please let us know if you have any more queries.
