Content spilling out of the slide

Hi,

We are seeing that the data in the tablix control of SSRS is spilling out of the slide after it is exported to PPT.

Product details are below -

Product Name - Aspose.Slides for Reporting Services

Product Version - 4.8.1

License type - Site OEM

Please look into it and let me know the resolution.

Hi Sridevi,

Please share the RDL file and data source with us for further investigation of the issue. Also, I would suggest you to try the latest version of Aspose.Slides for Reporting Services v5.0.0 first and see if it works fine for you.

Hi,

Attached is the RDL file where we are facing this issue.

Could you please look into it asap? This is one of the show stopper issues we have in the release currently.

We have tried with the latest version of Aspose product currently. We still see the issue.

Also, we have this issue only with PPT format and not while rendering it using the default SSRS extensions like PDF.

We are using SQL Server Reporting Services 2012.

Please share the datasource or RPL file with us as we are unable to use your RDL file without the data source. We will check it and get back to you soon.

Hi Ahmad,

Please find the attached file which has scripts and RDL. you need SQLserver and SSRS 2012 to run those scripts. Please follow the below steps to make the sample work.

  1. Run the table scripts
  2. Run the Data scripts
  3. Change the RDL data source connection to your db.

you can able to see report with data. Please export the report to PPT. you can find the body content overlapping with footer. Also please find the attached sample PPT which got generated through this RDL.

I have worked with your shared data and the latest version of Aspose.Slides for Reporting Services and I am able to reproduce the issue. An issue with high priority has been registered in our issue tracking system with issue id: SLIDESREP-33415 . You will be notified via this forum thread once the issue gets resolved.

Hi,

As a workaround, we tried moving the RDL footer to Tablix footer. After doing this the tablix content is not overlapping with the RDL footer but the over all slide content is still spilling out of the page. Could you please try this and let us know if there is any solution to overcome this issue?

Attached image has a screenshot after changing from RDL footer to Tablix footer.

We are also facing the same issue raised in this thread.
For us the issue still persists even after using changing to later version 4.9.

Could you please provide a status when this issue will be fixed.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as SLIDESREP-33415) have been fixed in this update.

Hi,

this fix is working for the report similar to the sample one which we gave. But it is not working for other reports. It is spilling out of slide and looks very ugly. please revert ASAP as release is in few days. Please find the attachement for sample report and data.

Thank you for the files.

However, I just checked the issue with the latest version of Aspose.Slides for Reporting Services v5.1.0 and it works fine. Please see the attached PPT and PPTX files for reference. Please share your output files for reference.

Hi Sridevi,

Thanks for sharing the presentation. I am able to observe the issue on slide 4 where content is spilling over slide. However, when I compare your presentation and one generated by Owais with your data there is difference of data on slide 4. The presentation generated by Owais has differenct data as compared to one shared by you. Please share the RDL, SQL export and RPL export of your report that has generated the presentation with content spilling. This way we will be able to investigate further and help you out.
