How can we convert .ppt files having modify password to .pptx/.pptm extensions?

I have observed your requirements and like to share that Aspose.Slides offers to load a password protected presentation and you may remove the protection and save it to different presentation formats like PPTX or PPTM. Thanks for replying. I want to know if the converted files can retain the password(s) with which the source file was protected. Or, if there is a way by which we can extract the password and use the same again for encrypting the converted files.

I have observed your comments and like to share that without password, you will not be able to open up the presentation on your end using Aspose.Slides. So, the password will always be known otherwise you will not be able to load the presentation. Secondly, you can retain or remove protection\password for new presentation before saving. Please refer to documentation links shared by me in previous post as it answers your quires.
