Converting from .DOC to FlatOPC drops formatting

In an automated conversion process, we are starting with WordPerfect 5.1, and using automation to open the document in WordPerfect, and saving to .doc. This gives us the best conversion from WordPerfect 5.1 to a Microsoft format, and when opened with Word, everything looks good, and I can make updates, and save it without problems. From there, we’re using Aspose to open the document, and save to FlatOPC, our target format. This is suppose to be a high fidelity conversion, but it is dropping entire section breaks, which result in a loss of formatting. I’ve attached a document with 2 section breaks. The first is a section break generated by the conversion from WordPerfect. The second is a section break that I added through the Word UI. First section break is lost, second is retained. Why is the first one being dropped?

Hi
Thank you for reporting this problem to us. I managed to reproduce it on my side. Your request has been linked to the appropriate issue. You will be notified as soon as it is resolved.
As I can see, Aspose.Words ignores the first section break upon reading the document. Most likely this section break is inserted in some way the is not expected by Aspose.Words. We will investigate your document and provide you more information.
Best regards,

The issues you have found earlier (filed as 25734) have been fixed in this .NET update and in this Java update.
