I would like to scan an existing PowerPoint file, and selectively pull out certain slides. I would then like to write only those slides to a NEW file. Any pointers / code examples in VB .Net?

You should use presntation with one slide (can be empty slide but not a presentation without slides). Copy necessary slides to this presentation and delete first slide at the end.
