The following two documents:
base.docx (15.2 KB)
changed.docx (14.8 KB)
when compared using 21.8 (Java), produce the following which shows the single comment as deleted using tracked changes:
diff-21.8.docx (16.5 KB)
but when the same is done with 21.9:
diff-21.9.docx (15.0 KB)
the comment is no longer marked with deleted tracked changes.
I’m unsure if this is a bug or an intentional change. The release notes don’t state that it was intentional, but the new behavior does align with what Mac Word does when using the Compare Documents feature.
