Detecting if PPT was generated with Office 2007

Hi there

I’m wondering if its possible to detect if a PPT file was generated by PowerPoint 2007, or just to detect which version generated it in general?

Hello Eric,

PowerPoint version is not stored in the PPT file. Actually, PPT format wasn’t changed since PowerPoint 97. Each new PowerPoint version add some extensions but if extension exists in the ppt file that doesn’t mean that ppt file was created in this exact PowerPoint version.
