Difference between save as DOC and PDF

Hi,

I have a word document with a textbox that is located in the bottom of the page. Inside this textbox, there is a table with some mergefields. When this is merged and saved as a word document it looks fine, but when I try to save it as a pdf file the textbox is suddenly located in the middle of the page.

Any thoughts?

Hi
Thanks for your request. Could you please attach your input and output documents here? I will investigate the problem and provide you more information.
Best regards,

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply. I have attached a simplified input doc and the two output documents.

Hi
Thank you for reporting this problem to us. I managed to reproduce the problem on my side. Your request has been linked to the appropriate issue. You will be notified as soon as it is resolved.
I think in your case you should use Header/Footer concept to create your template.
Please see the attached document.
Best regards,

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I can’t use the footer, since I am already using that, and I don’t want my textbox om every page but only on the last. This could happen if the content of the table on the page is more than one page.

I will try to find a workaround for this some other way until the issue is resolved.

I seem to have found out why it is acting this way.

In the properties of the textbox I have set the textbox to auto adjust the height based on the content, but if this document is saved to pdf it seems to read the height that was set before this auto adjust was set. Doesn’t know if it helps, but thought I would post it anyways.

Hi
Thank you for additional information. We will be sure to inform you of any developments regarding this issue.
Thanks,

The issues you have found earlier (filed as WORDSNET-5099) have been fixed in this .NET update and this Java update.
