Doc to html or doc to pdf?

I am the CEO of Lodgix.com. We have a process that I need to make much more simple. Current process:

  1. Subscriber has existing .doc(x) file
  2. Subscriber cuts and pastes into (F)ck Editor and attempts to get spacing, fonts, tables, etc… replicated
  3. subscriber inserts Lodgix merge tags to allow Lodgix to render PDF with data from Lodgix database
  4. on demand, lodgix render file to pdf

Maybe we just need a better editor (?), but I am looking for a way the user to simply upload the existing doc(x) file and to lose as little as the document formatting as possible.

Historically doc(x) to HTML hasn’t been very clean, but we haven’t revisited this in 3 or 4 years, so I am wondering if your product might offer a consistent solution?

Hi Brent,

Thanks for considering Saaspose.

Our Saaspose.Words API supports converting doc(x) to HTML, PDF and many other formats. So far the results have been consistent and reliable as we are using the trusted and reliable products of our parent company Aspose at backend. Also, you can use our Saaspose.Pdf API to create PDFs from HTML. Please check Saaspose.Words and Saaspose.Pdf documentation http://saaspose.com/docs/dashboard.action for more details and examples.

As far as a viewer/editor is concerned, we do not offer any viewer/editor but you can contact our sister company GroupDocs http://groupdocs.com/ which provides a viewer, allows you to edit all types of documents including DOC/DOCX and convert documents to many formats including PDF.

Best Regards,
