Document without pictures says document contains pictures

From Jat:

Just trying out the control - I get this exception…

Server Error in ‘/DOJeLodgment’ Application.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The document contains pictures. Unfortunately, this feature is only available in c Edition, but your license authorizes you to use features up to b Edition. Please check https://docs.aspose.com/words/net/product-overview/ for more info. You can go to https://purchase.aspose.com/ to upgrade your license. Thanks for your consideration

I have attached the document, as you can see - there are NO pictures in there, so I can’t see why it fails.

Hi Jat,

I’ve received the document and I will address the issue quickly. Expect a fix later today.
I think it is the hyperlink that triggers the behavior.

I will also look at the bookmarks question too. At the moment Aspose.Word can open documents with bookmarks, but it will not let them through to the destination document. Do you realle need bookmarks to be preserved from the original to the destination document?

We don’t need the bookmarks to be preserved, but before purchasing your product, we were using word automation to ‘jump’ to various booksmarks in a document and to fill the text in.

However, previously I was getting errors with licensing in that we could not open documents with bookmarks.

Using bookmarks (rather than mailmerge) would be a good feature as I know this is also a common way to programatically insert text into a document…

Thanks

Hi Jat,

I don’t need to do any changes to the component because it should all work for you now.

  1. Generate a Professional Edition license.
  2. Hypelinks are supported (they are not well documented therefore Aspose.Word was considered them pictures, but they work nevertherless).
  3. Bookmarks will pass through in the Professional Edition but will not appear in the output document because Aspose.Word does not yet understand them.

We will consider using bookmarks for inserting text into the document in the future, thanks for the suggestion. We think they are a bit more difficult to manage in Word, just consider how confusing the fact that List of Bookmarks dialog is available in the Insert menu only. What if I want to edit or delete bookmark? Why should I go to Insert?

Hi Jat,

Just a question. In this error message did you get proper edition names or you got these “c” and “b” characters? I have proper edition names in my tests.
