I downloaded the offline documentation for Aspose.Words which comes as a chm file.
Although my system (Win7 64bit) recognised the format, when I opened it I only got the index - no content at all.
Is there something I haven't done or is the file corrupt ?

Thanks for your inquiry. I would suggest you please upgrade to the latest version (v13.4.0) from here:
The Aspose.Words documentation in .chm version is available under install directory as follow:
install directory\Aspose\Aspose.Words for .NET\Help
