Thanks for your inquiry. It seems you are evaluating Aspose.Pdf without license implementation, so getting the reported exception. Please note Aspose.Pdf evaluation
version has two limitations, evaluation watermark and at most four
elements of any collection can be viewed. Please make a request for 30
days temporary license to evaluate our product without
any limitation, it will resolve the exception issue.
Furthermore, please note your shared PDF contains only an image, so Aspose.Pdf can not extract text from the file.
I can confirm that using a temp license the error is gone. I am aware that this is a picture PDF, i was testing both extract text and convert with a number of test PDFs.
Perhaps the error needs to be a bit more clear since it does not indicate what I should do, and another PDF with 10 images worked fine, so I couldn’t suspect that was the issue. In any case, thanks for your help, appreciate it.
Thanks for your feedback. It is good to know your issue has been fixed.
In reference to your concern about the exception message, we agree API should throw a meaningful exception. Normally API throws an evaluation error message in such cases. However we have logged a ticket PDFNET-41575 in our issue tracking system for investigation and rectification of the issue. We will notify you as soon as it is resolved.
