error with excel - on clicking close button without any changes it is prompting the save message box. i couldnt find way to attach the screenshot.

Well, this is default behavior of MS Excel. It normally occurs if there are some sort of formula(s)/ functions in your workbook, so MS Excel will prompt such message when closing the file.
