Excel 2007 footer issue

When I export an Excel 2007 worksheet which includes a footer, rather than displaying the footer at the bottom on the page in print preview, the footer is shown immediately below the last data in the worksheet.

The first indication of a problem upon opening the worksheet in "Normal" view is that the Footer appears at all. The footer should only appear in "Page Layout" view or while in Print Preview.

I have attached a two worksheets. The worksheet "Good Footer.xls" displays properly. The worksheet "Bad Footer.xlsx" displays improperly.

Please download and try the latest version: Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services V1.8.0.30(SSRS2008R2) and let us know your feedback.

Please copy Aspose.Cells.ReportingServices.dll into following folder :
.
${SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services}\Reporting Services\ReportServer\bin.


If your problem still occurs, please provide us your RDL file.

Thank you for your assistance. I installed the new DLL, restarted the SQL Reporting Services service and the problem still occurs. Per your request, I have attached the RDL.v

We had checked your report define file and found the issues.

It is because of Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services rendering feature.

The default excel export data of MS is no output footer.

The default export data of Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services is output footer.

If you need no output footer, we will update the feature ASAP.

Thank you for your reply, but I find it a bit confusing. My issues is that I DO want the footer, but it is not being rendered at the bottom of the page, but rather at the bottom of the text on the page. Therefore, if my page had only a few lines of text, the footer would be rendered near the top of the page.


Additionally, I downloaded and installed the latest version of the DLL provided by the Aspose team and the rendering of the Excel 2007 worksheet is still not correct. The footer now does not appear at the bottom of all pages as it should. It seems to only appear at the bottom of the final page.

Additionally, the layout is now wrong on print preview. The page should be orientation of Landscape, but it is rendered as portrait. I have included a worksheet labelled “Good” from 2003 and “BAD” from 2007. The 2007 rendering should match the 2003 rendering.

We had updated report footer export mode and fixed print layout issues.

Please try the fixed version: Aspose.Cells for Reporting services V1.8.0.36 (SSRS2008R2).

The issues you have found earlier (filed as SSRS-40039) have been fixed in this update.
