@divine1
It seems you’re encountering an issue with opening the files you edited using the Aspose online editor. The error message indicates that the file format or extension is invalid after downloading the modified files.
Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can follow:
-
Check File Extensions: Ensure that the files you are trying to open have the correct extensions. For example, use .xltx for Excel templates and .xltm for macro-enabled templates.
-
Re-download the Files: Sometimes, the download process may not complete correctly. Try re-downloading the files from the Aspose editor and see if the issue persists.
-
Open in Different Excel Versions: If possible, try opening the files in a different version of Excel. Compatibility issues can arise with specific versions.
-
Validate the Content: If you have access to the original files, compare the content of the modified files with the originals to ensure that the changes were applied correctly.
-
Use Aspose.Cells API: If you are familiar with programming, you can use the Aspose.Cells API to programmatically open and manipulate the files. This can help identify if the issue is with the file itself or the way it was edited.
If the problem continues, consider reaching out to the Aspose support forum with details about the issue, including the specific steps you took and any error messages you received.

By using sample files for testing, we can reproduce the issue. The result file crashes after editing with Online Excel Editor.
