I am having problems when i export as a TXT file. Basicly the rport looks fine in notepad, however the report contains some hidden characters ( ) that relate to Byte Order Mark (BOM). is there a method for excluding this information, as this causes a problem when importing the files into another system.
Thank you for your request. Yes, you are correct, the TXT file exported by Aspose.Words for Reporting Services is UTF-8 encoded and that's why the BOM is there. Would you be happy if I introduce a configuration option allowing for exporting to text format without a BOM or maybe even in ASCII encoding?
Yes, this would be really usefull, I believe that without the BOM would work for me as this is what is causing my customer an issue. My short term fix is to copy the contents of the text file in note pad and then into another file and save that. This is not briliant as I am unable to schedule the reports to send, is there a quick fix I can make or will I require an update?
