We recently updated the Aspose.Word version for JasperReport (Java) from 17 to 23.
We have different types of documents.
One of them was generated in about 5 seconds with version 17, but with version 23 the generation time increased to 35-50 seconds.
We’ve done some investigation using a profiler, obviously it’s difficult to collect data from an obfuscated library, but we’ve noticed that time is wasted in the com.aspose.words.jasperreports.AWAbstractExporter#N (recursive) function and it seems that a lot of objects are being allocated (nodes) with excessive memory usage.
Notes that using the standard JRDocxExporter exporter the execution time is a few seconds.
How can we understand what causes the slowdown?
@qly_aladyn Could you please attach your .jrprint
file that will allow us to reproduce the problem here for testing? We will check the issue and provide you more information.
