Extracting from virus infected file

Downloaded the evaluation and I love your product. Kudos.

I’m wondering what the effects will be if I extract text out from an infected Word document? I’m assuming it won’t trigger the virus but I want to confirm.

The viruses normally live in VBA code that is inside the document file. The virus will only be fired if the VBA code is executed.

Aspose.Word has no means to execute any code inside the document, so the virus will certainly not be started by Aspose.Word.

Aspose.Word will preserve any VBA project and code intact. So if there was a virus in the document, it will remain there.
