Font settings for RTL- East Asian and other languages

Hi,


Can you explain me which font settings should I use when I create a portion with, for example, text written in Arabic (ar-SA)?

Should I set Complex Script font? Should I set LanguageId to “ar-SA”? What else is needed for this to look correct in PowerPoint?

What about text written in Japanese, Chinese?

I would like to share with you that usually we do not need to set specific settings for the portion with Arabic, Chinese or any other language. However, you may use all specific settings like setting default font or different fonts for different portions to increase readability of text otherwise PowerPoint uses default font (like Calibri) for displaying all text in presentation.

I hope this will clarify the concept. Please share if I may help you further in this regard.
