Footer contents to PDF

Team,
Can you please confirm if the formatting (bold , italics, underline) entered in Footer of an excel will come in PDF. If so, can you please provide me a sample code.

Please note that there are two lines appearing in the footer of PDF file. Ignore the first line.

Regards,

Hi Nicole,

Thank you for providing the sample spreadsheet for our review.

Please note, Aspose.Cells render the spreadsheet to PDF format (without additional settings) as it is shown in the MS Excel preview mode. However, when we tested your provided spreadsheet on our end, we have noticed that the characters in the footer are not styled correctly when saved as PDF.

Your provided spreadsheet has following styles applied to different characters in the footer,

  • First 3 characters are italic
  • Next 4 characters are bold
  • Next 5 characters are underlined

When rendered to PDF, the result has footer text with the following style,

  • First 3 characters are italic
  • All next characters are bold & italic.

The behavior as discussed above is undesired therefore we have logged a ticket in our bug tracking system to properly investigate the matter, and to provide a fix (if applicable). The ticket Id for your future reference is CELLSNET-42898. Please spare us little time to properly analyze the problem cause on our end. In the meanwhile, we will keep you posted with updates in this regard.

Aspose team,
