Hide Title- Legend and Major Gridlines in Chart

Dears,

I’m using ASPose.Slide version 5.8.0 to create a pptx document with LineWithDataMarkers chart.

here is the code that i am using [C#]:

Kindly find bellow the list of things that i was unable to do:
1- Hide the Title
2- Hide the Legend
3- Hide the Vertical Major Gridlines
4- Change the Lines and Markers Colors of the chart
5- Change the Font size and Color of the Labels

I’m not sure if these are bugs or something missing in my code.

Please accept my apologies for the delayed response. I have been working over your requirements. I have created a sample project using Aspose.Slides for .NET 5.8.0 with your code snippet and have been able to fulfill your requirements. You can observe from the shared presentation in the attachment. The only thing that remains is changing of series marker color as it throws exception. An issue with ID SLIDESNET-33133 has been created to resolve the issue. Please use the shared project and if there is any issue kindly share with us.

Thank you very much for your reply and for the test project that you have sent me.
I ran your code and found 3 issues:
1- A label with text “Series 2” and tooltip: “Chart Title” is still showing
2- A label with text “Series 2” and tooltip: “Series ‘Series 2’ Legend Entry” is still showing
3- Horizontal lines with tooltip: “Vertical (Category) Axis Major Gridlines” are still showing

I’m unable to remove these from my chart.

What i really need to show in the chart are only the following:
1- Chart Lines
2- Chart Marker Symbols (circles or diamonds)
3- Chart Marker label (the vales of each marker)

Could you please assist me in that.

I regret to share that requested feature support for hiding “Vertical (Category) Axis Major Gridlines” is missing in Aspose.Slides. An issue with ID SLIDESNET-33137 has been crated to resolve the issue. A separate issue with ID SLIDESNET-33138 has bee created to resolve the title and tool tips issue. This thread has been linked with issues so that you may be automatically notified when the issues will be resolved.

I have verified from our issue tracking system and like to share that currently issue is unresolved. However, we have a scheduled product release by end of April 2012 and hopefully the issue will be resolved in it. We will share the information with you once the fix will be available.

We are still not able to remove the Major gridlines (see attached) with 6.2 release.
Can you please tell us if this functionality is available (how to do) or if it is planned (when should we expect it)?

I would like to share that hiding legend has been resolved in Aspose Slides for .Net 6.2.0.Please use the following code snipped in your code.

if (chart.HasLegend)

chart.HasLegend = false;

Whereas regarding to second issue i.e. “hide Vertical (Category) Axis Major Gridlines”, I’ve verified from our issue tracking system and regret to share with you that this issue is still unresolved.

Any new updates regarding the “Hide Vertical Axis Major Gridlines”?
I faced also another problem which it I am unable to Hide the Chart Axis in “Line” or “Column” chart. Could you please share with me if there is any way i could hide the axis.
If there are still any problems in any of the mentioned issues, could you please share with me if i could simply change the “Vertical Major Gridlines” or the “Axis” color to white.

I have started a project and I urgently need these feature to be done so as to deliver my project.

I have worked over your requirements with our latest available version of Aspose.Slides for .NET 6.4.0. The things seems to be resolved. Can you please verify the same on your end by using the sample project code. I have also not been able to observe the issue while hiding axis in ClusteredColumn chart as well.

Thank you so much for the fixes, i have downloaded ASPose.Slide 6.4.0 and tried it. I was able to hide the Category and Value Axes. But still unable to hide the “Category Major Grid Lines”. Could you please provide me with a code that will allow me to do that.

The Category Major Grid Lines are also getting hidden with new release as shared in sample code. Please add the following line to explicitly hide the Major Grid Lines.

chart.CategoryAxis.MajorGridLines.FillFormat.FillType = FillTypeEx.NoFill;

You can see the effect of working by enabling the Category Major Grid Lines using following code in your application.

chart.CategoryAxis.MajorGridLines.FillFormat.FillType = FillTypeEx.Solid;
chart.CategoryAxis.MajorGridLines.Style = LineStyleEx.Single;
chart.CategoryAxis.MajorGridLines.Width = 6;

Please share your further feedback in this regard.
