Im using hot fix 1.1.5 and after changing the text in some slides and deleting some paragraphs not needed.
The remaining slides appear blank apart from master properties.
I have found that this problem occurs if you set a paragraph text to “”

Yes, you are right. Paragraph text can’t be “”.
I’d suggest to use Portion with single space " " or delete whole paragraph.
MS PowerPoint uses different algorithms to calculate length of text frames with empty paragraphs in different parts of PPT. I couldn’t find correct dependence yet.
